In the Direction of Autumn

Warm Ombre For Autumn[/caption] September 22, the official start of Autumn and not a long time to wait at all! Summer is rolling out slowly but surely, time to fade out the pastel hair colors and add a little warmth for the colder months approaching. There's nothing that speaks autumn more to me than those rustic red tones, reminding me of fallen leaves, a crackling fire, giving your face a little more glow as the back of summer creeps off into the distance. There are a range of red tones to choose from, some more orange than others, some more red than others but each brand of hair color would have their own shades of red for you to choose from if you're also feeling the need for a little warmth!  Untitled2

La Riche Directions[/caption] My favourite brand of hair colour would be La Riche Directions, a semi-permanent conditioning hair color that is ammonia free, peroxide free and is a brand that is also big on stopping animal cruelty and animal testing. Bonus. In my opinion, it lasts longer than any semi-permanent i have tried before, doesn't stain the skin or surrounding areas and leaves my hair feeling well nourished. Have a look at Directions color kits , a kit that holds everything you need to achieve the desired color. Available in 8 different colors including 3 shades which would be perfect for a hair change in the autumn!

Manderin, Poppy Red & Rose Red[/caption] Directions and other semi-permanent colors are available to buy online or instore at Pauls Hair World.  Crazy color is among them, the same kind of nourishing formula as Directions, again ammonia and peroxide free and all in fabulous colors. All colors are available to purchase in store ( including directions shades pictured above ). Note : Colour kits are not sold in store or online.

La Riche Directions Colour Chart[/caption] If you aren't feeling brave enough to go full on red head, maybe try an ombre look. There's so many lovely color fades, warm colors tend to blend into one another so seamlessly so there's even room to add more than one colour! An ombre gives you an ability to keep the hair that frames your face the color it already is, so if you aren't feeling a dramatic change you can still change it up! What about a dark root with coral red through the mid length and apricot towards the ends? Maybe try a Vermilion red all over? All of Directions and crazy colours can be mixed together to create custom colors. Have a think! Is this look something your going to try this Autumn?
