Hair Trends for Autumn & Winter

Hair Trends The changing of the seasons is the perfect time to think about trying a new hairstyle. During the summer months we often adopt a fairly casual approach to hairstyling but as the weather cools you might decide to try something a little more glamorous. At Paul’s Hair World we have your guide to the hottest Autumn/Winter hair trends.

Hair Trends: Old-school glamour

Long locks never go out of fashion but after the tousled tresses of summer it’s time to get glam for winter. Human Hair Extensions are a great way to add length and volume to your hair and have a fantastic natural look. At Paul’s Hair World we have a wide selection of different types and styles, from clip-in extensions that are simple to fit yourself to longer-lasting weft/weave extensions that can be fitted in one of our salons.

Hair Trends: Intricate up-dos

With lots of parties and events on the horizon over the festive period, why not try a sophisticated up-do? Braids have been big news for a while and this trend shows no sign of slowing down. Part your hair to one side and plait across the front section for a quirky yet sophisticated style. Alternatively try an accessory like a plaited headband to achieve a chic look.

Hair Trends: Contemporary classics

Ponytails are always in style but this season sees them given a modern twist. Try an extreme side parting, then pull back hair tightly to create a slick, glossy finish. Secure hair in a very high ponytail or at the nape of your neck for a fresh look. Take this look on a little further by trying a pretty bun. Choose either an artfully messy style for casual daytime elegance or a ballerina bun for smart evening sophistication. Use a fake bun ring to add extra volume if desired.

Hair Trends: Bold colours

Autumn is the time to say goodbye to sun-kissed locks and embrace some bolder colours. Ombre is still a huge trend and this look can easily be adapted to make a dramatic winter hair style. Choose a dark base tone and add bright red or purple ends for an eye-catching effect. Alternatively go for a glossy black or warm chestnut shades for a lovely autumnal look. There are some fabulous new hair trends for this season, so whether you fancy a dramatic fresh colour or old-school glamour, you’re sure to find a look to suit you.
